Inert ceramic balls from Switzerland
Dear Sirs,
herewith we ask you to submit us your quotation for inert ceramic balls as follows:
ceramic balls (3mm) 4,5 m3;
ceramic balls (6mm) 11,5 m3;
ceramic balls (12 mm) 6 m3;
ceramic balls (19 mm) 56 m3.
Description: required ceramic balls must:
- be of combined structure (not less than 90% of aluminium oxide (Al2O3) and silicon dioxide(SiO2). Thus the max silicon dioxide (SiO2) content shall not exceed 80 % of SiO2/Al2O3 weight ratio;
- be tested for water adsorption according to ASTM C-830, thus adsorbed water quantity should not exceed – 0,9 % mass;
- be manufactured from the material for operating temperatures up to 980°C;
- be manufactured in a ball shape, thus the ratio of the max ball diameter to the min ball diameter shall not exceed 1,2;
- have bulk density not less than 1360 kg/m3;
- have high scuffing and crushing proofness, fracture strength;
- be transported and stored in leakproof barrels and by transportation ceramic balls must be put into polypropylene thick-walled bag inside a tank;
- before loading into a barrel balls must be sifted for removal of broken pieces, breakage and products of a smaller and larger DN.
